Pastor, Preacher, Public Speaker, Human Rights Activist, Director of Outreach of CSI-USA

The Reverend Heidi McGinness is an ordained Presbyterian Minister who serves as Director of Outreach for Christian Solidarity International-USA since 2004.  CSI-USA is a Christian Human Rights Organization that originated in Switzerland in 1978.  CSI assists victims of jihad, war, and persecution. Fourteen trips since 2004  to war-torn Sudan with CSI have catapulted Pastor McGinness into becoming a modern-day abolitionist and passionate defender of the victims of slavery, genocide and persecution of ALL people.   She has been personally present to document the liberation of over 4,225 men, women and children from slavery, delivering tons of medicine and grain, thousands of survival kits, freedom, spiritual support and hope. With the help of God, colleagues and donors, she has worked to help bring over 21,400 of God’s children out of slavery.  The release of slaves taken during the 23-year civil war between the North and the South was not a part of the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement nor South Sudan’s Independence in 2011. Tens of thousands of South Sudanese citizens are still enslaved in Sudan.
